Portrait Therapy
While on an annual camping trip with dear friends, a walk on the beach led to coral and seaweed portraits on the sand. The process reminded me of the feeling a bride might have when she's been zipped up by a team of people, or of the placebo effect associated with visiting a caring doctor – that intimate and therapeutic feeling of being fussed over for 15 minutes. As a result, the ritual carried on, and became known as "portrait therapy".
